A four-person golf scramble was held on Aug. 12 at the Lake Maloney Golf Course. The tournament was a fundraiser to benefit the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Memorial to erect a monument to law officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the residents of the Lincoln County area.
The tournament was hosted by the Lake Maloney Golf Course and was sponsored by Bill Summers Ford.
The memorial board of directors would like to extend their sincere appreciation to both of these entities for their support and willingness to be involved in this endeavor.
Kevin Foote of Bill Summers Ford was very instrumental in helping make the outing the success it was. Ford sponsored hole-in-one prizes for all the par-3 holes and sponsored the tournament itself.
And, of course, we could not have had a great tournament without Tim Fuqua and his crew from Lake Maloney Golf Course. The course was in great shape and the clubhouse help, Gloria and Casey, were awesome to work with.
Another big thank-you to all our hole sponsors and to those who donated items for door prizes. This made our day that much better. Also a huge thank-you to Kevin Kennedy for cooking the great meal we enjoyed afterwards.
The money raised got us one step closer to purchasing and setting the monument to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Thanks to everyone involved.
