Bulldog football team to play at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 30Tell North Platte what you think

The North Platte High School football team will play Lincoln Southwest at the University of Nebraska's Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The game between the Bulldogs and the Silverhawks is one of two games played on that day at the home field of the Huskers.

North Platte's game will be played at 1 p.m., followed by a matchup between Lincoln Northeast and Fremont at 4:30 p.m.

The game against Lincoln Southwest was originally scheduled for Sept. 29 at Seacrest Field, which is one of two fields used by the six high schools in the Lincoln Public School system.

The move of the two high school games to Memorial Stadium is in response to Nebraska playing a Friday night game against Illinois on Sept. 29.

It will be the second time the Bulldogs have played at Memorial Stadium, with the first time being the 2001 state championship game North Platte lost to Millard West.
