Starting Thursday, the city of North Platte’s contractor, Cement Products, will begin repairs on Mills Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets

The work will continue for approximately two weeks.

Mills Ave. will be closed to all traffic on that block (4th to 5th) for the duration of the project, the city engineering department said Monday.

Alternate routes will be required.

Mills is 23 blocks west of Jeffers, a block east of Buffalo Bill Ave. Caution is urged around the construction area.

"The North Platte Engineering Department would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation in making this a safe and expedient project," spokeswoman Geni Karre said.

If you have any questions, please contact the city’s engineering department at 535-6724.
