• Fort Cody Trading Post (I-80 & US 83 junction) – N’Route Music presents Doug Rees; blues, live classic rock & country music. Daddy & Hayseeds open at 6 p.m. $5.

Friday, June 30

• Downtown on E. Front St. (Between Chestnut and Poplar) - Historic Steam Locomotive No. 844 arrives 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. 

• Old Fox Theater (downtown Fifth & Bailey) -- The movie Independence Day. 7 p.m. $5.

• Centennial Park (Francis St. between Oak & McDonald) - Movies in the Park - La La Land, Family friendly. No charge. Bring lawn chairs, blanket and snacks. Starts at dusk. In case of bad weather, will move to the nearby Rec Center. 

• Another Round Sports Bar & Grill (1008 W. 18th St) - Mace Hathaway, live music, Folk, Country, Americana, RSVP to this event and invite your friends. Cover is $5, all ages. Drink & food specials all night. Starts 9 p.m.

 

Saturday, July 1 

• Downtown on E. Front St. (Between Chestnut and Poplar) - Historic Steam Locomotive No. 844 departs, 9 a.m.

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Farmer's Market. West parking lot. 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Old Fox Theater (downtown Fifth & Bailey) -- The movie Independence Day. 3 p.m. matinee. $5.

• Another Round Sports Bar & Grill (1008 W. 18th) – Karaoke (every Saturday night.) This week, Karaoke Kombat 3. Sixteen top singers compete. Prizes, sign up by messaging the Loud Noises DJ & Sound facebook with 4 songs that you want to reserve. All ages, no charge.

• Shooters (2221 E. 4th) – Live music Shallow Side with special guests - Vyces & One Steel Wound . $10, Starts 8 p.m.

 

Sunday, July 2

• Old Fox Theater (downtown Fifth & Bailey) -- The movie Independence Day. 3 p.m. matinee. $5.

 

Monday, July 3

• Sutherland Independence Day Celebration. Free swimming at pool from noon-8 p.m. Rodeo queen competition. Boot race & calf scramble @ 7:15 p.m. Rodeo begins 7:30. 

• Sutherland Riverview Cemetery (NE Highway 25)-- Tour & reenactments -- tales of six citizens. Starts 10 a.m.

 

Tuesday, July 4

• Sutherland Independence Day – events all day. Pancake feed, kids games, frog and foot races, community barbecue, parade at 2 p.m., beer garden. Final night of rodeo starts 7:30 p.m., preceded by calf scramble.

• Iron Eagle (2401 Halligan Dr.) – Par 3 tournament. Contact 308-535-6730 for more information.

• Golden Spike Tower & Visitor Center (1249 N. Homestead Rd) - Fireworks viewing at the tower. Open until 11 p.m. Regular admission applies.

• Camp Maranatha (16800 W. Maranatha Road, Maxwell) - Independence Day celebration. Open 2 p.m. Cookout at 5:30. Show starts 8 p.m.  $10.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill Ave) - Anvil shoot, celebrating Independence Day the old-fashioned way. 6 p.m. No charge.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 W. Rodeo Rd) -- 4th of July fireworks display, hosted by North Platte Optimists Club. Starts at dusk. No charge.

Wednesday, July 5

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Music by Ray Mullen, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo 6:45 p.m.

Thursday July 6

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Farmer's Market. West parking lot. 3–6 p.m.

• Fort Cody Trading Post (I-80 & US 83 junction) – N’Route Music presents singer/songwriter Lisa Weyerhauser. Live music. North Platte's Brett Terry, with family and friends, opens at 6 p.m. $5.

 

Friday, July 7

• Memorial Park (E. 4th St) - Relay for Life, fundraiser for cancer research. 5-11 p.m.

 

Saturday, July 8

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Farmer's Market. West parking lot. 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Espresso Shop (downtown Fith and Dewey) -- Live music by Blue Swing (Brandon Raby & Steve Barger), and by Dave Cumming and his band. 7 p.m. $5 donation suggested.

• Another Round Sports Bar & Grill (1008 W. 18th) – Karaoke every Saturday night.

•  Lincoln County Raceway (5105 West Highway 30) - Race day, gates open at 4 p.m. Hot Laps 5:30 p.m., green flag drops 6:30 p.m. Admission $10; kids (6-12) $5; kids (5 & under) Free; Pit Pass $25, 4–8 p.m.
