At St. Pat's: New music teacher, lockers installedTell North Platte what you think

The board of education of North Platte Catholic Schools met June 20 for its monthly meeting and approved the hiring of a new vocal music teacher.

The board approved Taina Ward as the new K-12 vocal music instructor, and also heard an update from Supt. Kevin Dodson on the installation of new lockers at St. Pat’s High.

Eagle Scout candidate Ethan Munson coordinated the removal and sale of the old lockers and helped install the new lockers, Dodson said. Funds for the new lockers was provided by the NPCS Endowment’s “Forward in Faith” campaign.

Work on new playground equipment at McDaid Elementary is scheduled to begin in late July and will also be provided by a St. Pat’s Eagle Scout candidate.

The next board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15. There is no board meeting scheduled in July.
