Movies in the park Tell North Platte what you think

La La Land, the first in a series of outdoor movies at North Platte’s Centennial park, will show at dusk on Friday, June 30.

La La Land is a 2016 American musical romantic comedy-drama starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles.

The movies in the park will be shown on a 16-foot, blow-up screen, organizers said. The first show will start around 9 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and join the family fun. The sponsors, Allo Communications, plans some fun things before the first show, the visitor’s bureau said.

• Top Gun – Friday, July 28.

• The Secret Life of Pets – Friday, Aug. 11

• A Dog’s Purpose – Friday, Aug. 25
