The North Platte Public Library’s brown bag program series will turn to a health topic on Friday, June 23.

The Alzheimer’s Association will be presenting an education session entitled “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body” at the Library on June 23 between noon-1 p.m.

Participants will learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, as well as recommendations for incorporating research suggestions into a plan for healthy aging.

The program is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch and enjoy the presentation.  Please help the library plan seating by calling 535-8036, ext. 3310 to reserve seats.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
