Suspect arrested after shots fired on I-80Tell North Platte what you think

Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested a man suspected of shooting at another vehicle on I-80 in Lincoln.

The NSP was notified of the alleged shooting occurring just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Reportedly, the driver of a red Toyota Rav4 shot a handgun out the window multiple times at another vehicle while both vehicles were westbound on I-80, NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said.

No one was injured, but the car was hit by at least one bullet, Thomas said.

After arriving on the scene, troopers arrested Havacu Quintero, 48.

Quintero was taken to the Lancaster County jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, false reporting, and possession of forged documents.

The Nebraska State Patrol Aerial Division and the Lincoln police helped with the situation, Thomas said.
