• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - North Platte Farmer’s Market. West parking lot. 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. 

• Cody Park (1601 N. Jeffers) – free kiddie rides, courtesy of Premier Rental. Noon to close.

• Old Fox Theater (301 East Fifth) – Movie night. Illumination’s Sing, an animated musical. Starts 7 p.m. $5. 

• Iron Eagle Golf Course Lake (2401 Halligan Dr.) - Optimist Fishing Derby, fishing for student age children. All the fishing equipment will be available if needed & bait. No charge. 8 a.m.–12 p.m.

• Regency Retirement Center (700 W. Philip Ave.) – Live music on spacious back lawn. The Flatrock Irregulars, the James Burke Trio, WonderCult, Tragic Martha. Wine and beer by Pals Brewery. Food vendors. $5 admission. 4:30-9:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Top Shelf Country, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo 6:45 p.m.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 W. Rodeo Rd) - Tehama Shrine Circus, Proceeds benefit Shrine activities. Two shows — 2 p.m. & 6 p.m.

• Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center (1249 N. Homestead Rd) - Li’l Spike Conductors Club. Learn about trains & create a project. $5 per child (Parents free admission with child) 3–4 p.m.

 

Thursday, June 1

• North Platte Public Library, (120 W. 4th St) - Maria Rodaway: Prairie Pioneer, portrayed by her great-great granddaughter. Grades 4 to adults. Noon – 2 p.m. Free. Limited seating, please call ahead 535-8036, ext. 3310. 

• Another Round Sports Bar & Grill (1008 W. 18th) – Stonecutters, Super Moon, (Pagan Warrior Tour), for fans of Black Sabbath, Crowbar, Down, Rift, Doom etc.  9 p.m. – midnight. $5.

Friday, June 2

• Holiday Inn Express (300 Holiday Frontage Rd) - Grape and Sizzle, good cause event promoting Nebraska beef & donating funds to assist non-profit agencies within the community 5:30 to 8 p.m.

• Prairie Arts Center (Fifth and Jeffers) -- play, Motherhood Out Loud. Series of scenes and monologues about the joys and struggles of motherhood. 90 minutes. Starts 7 p.m. Produced by Brittany McDaniel.

• Old Fox Theater (301 East Fifth) – Movie night. The Goonies  7 p.m. $5.

 

Saturday, June 3

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - North Platte Farmer’s Market. West parking lot. 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. 

• River’s Edge Golf Course (1008 W. 18th St) - Red Shield Classic Golf Tournament, a fundraiser for Salvation Army. 7:30am registration; 9 am Tee off. 18 hold scramble. Pre-registration required. Bob Mayber, 308-530-1068 or Doug Martin 308-520-9649.

• Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park - Guided Tours at Scouts Rest Ranch -- house, barn & grounds. Call (308) 535-8035 to make arrangements. 9 a.m.–5 p.m. No charge.
