Effective Thursday, June 1, the North Platte/Lincoln County 911 Center will no longer use the CodeRed emergency notification provider. The new provider is “Rave Alert” powered by Smart911.
police spokesman John Deal said. the new service is an addition to the Smart911 service already provided by the 911 Center.
There is no cost for the Rave Alert service, and it is entirely private, Deal said. You will need a Smart911 account to opt-in to emergency warnings. If you already have a Smart911 account, log into it to choose your warning options.
Smart 911 enables households to enter personal and medical information you would want response teams to have in the event of an emergency.
Alerts powered by Smart911 are the official emergency notification system used by the North Platte 911 Center to communicate with Lincoln County and Gothenburg residents during emergencies.
