• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey St) - North Platte Farmer's Market in the west parking lot. 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Cody Park (1601 N Jeffers St) - North Platte Heart Walk, 8–11 a.m. Fun walk.

• Camp Maranatha (16800 W. Maranatha Road, Maxwell) - Family fishing day. No charge. Fishing license required. Concessions available.

• Lincoln County Raceway (5105 West Highway 30) - Race day. Gates open 4 p.m. Hot Laps 5:30 p.m. Green flag drops 6:30 p.m. Admission $10; Kids (6-12) $5; kids (5 & under) Free; Pit Pass $25, 4–8 p.m.

• Golden Spike Tower & Visitor Center (1249 N. Homestead Rd) - Twilight Tour 7-11 p.m.

 

Sunday, May 21

• Cody Park (1400 N. Jeffers) - Foster Awareness Month Bike rally, 9 a.m. Starting at Cody Park-Highway 83 for McCook Norris Park, then First Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Platte for lunch at 1 p.m. Everyone welcome, sponsored by Guardians of the Children.

• Brady Community Center (Brady) - Pancake Feed fundraiser, proceeds to Thomas Palmer & Kara Johnson. 35/35/30 raffle & silent auction. 3–4 p.m.

 

Tuesday, May 23

• Sandhills Convention Center (2102 S. Jeffers) Senior Festival, Guest speaker Jim Griffin. Entertainment by Linda Feree as the legendary Patsy Cline. 10am – 3pm

• North Platte Rec Center (1300 S. McDonald Rd.) - Paws-itive Partners, Pedal for Paws bike ride. Sign-in 8:30 a.m. in the lot east of North Platte Rec Center.

 

Wednesday, May 24

Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area (2017 N. Buffalo Bill Ave.) – Dusty Trails Summer Kickoff. 3 day package. Horseback rides, cowboy cooking lunch, canoeing, tanking, tubing, swimming, fire pit w/ smores. Fun and chores include horse care. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. $300, discounts for multiple children.

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Music by Top Shelf Country, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo 6:45 p.m.

• Old Fox Theater (301 East Fifth) – Movie night. Illumination’s Sing, an animated musical. Starts 7 p.m. $5.

• Regency Retirement Center (700 W. Philip Ave.) – Live music festival on back lawn. The Flatrock Irregulars, the James Burke Trio, WonderCult, Tragic Martha. 4:30-9:30 p.m. Wine and beer by Pals Brewery. Food vendors. Bring a lawn chair. $5 admission.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (5015 W. Rodeo Rd) - Tehama Shrine Circus, Proceeds benefit Shrine activities. Two shows -- 2 p.m. & 6 p.m.

• Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center (1249 N. Homestead Rd) - Li'l Spike Conductors Club. Learn about trains & create a project. $5 per child (Parents free admission with child) 3–4 p.m.
