Benefit supper, dance set for Ray, Tonja MullenTell North Platte what you think

A benefit supper and dance will be held Friday, May 19 for Ray and Tonja Mullen, to help with funeral expenses for their son.

Ray Mullen is a Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame entertainer.

The supper will be from 6-7 p.m. for $5 at the North Platte Senior Center. The dance, with music by Doug Powers, is from 7-10:30 p.m. Admission to the dance is $5.

Phillip Wayne Mullen, 49, died unexpectedly on April 29 in California.

He was raised by his father and stepmother, Ray and Tonya, in Ogallala, where he also attended school. Phillip later traveled around different states and for the past few years had worked for Sargent Irrigation in Grant.  He had just recently moved to California.

A memorial service was held May 12 at the Harvest Christian Fellowship.
