The North Platte Public Library’s next Brown Bag Program will be “Will Rogers” by Dave Breaker at noon, Friday, April 21.

The character is portrayed by Dave Breaker, an actor who has performed in the North Platte Public Library Foundation’s cemetery tours.

This presentation will touch on the life of Will Rogers, a cowboy philosopher, roping wizard, ambassador of good will, prince of wit and wisdom, unofficial president of the USA, author of 32 books, national newspaper columnist, radio entertainer and actor.

He was a man who has been frequently quoted. One memorable quote:

“When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep; not like the screaming passenger in his car.”

This program is free but seat reservations are requested, since seating is limited. Please call the library at 535-8036, Ext. 3310 to reserve a seat. Coffee and iced water will be provided.
