Visit the Prairie Arts Center Gallery the last two weeks of April for the spring Mid-Plains Community College student art show.

Students’ works will be on display April 18-27.

There will be a public reception from 6-7:30 p.m. on April 27.

Stop by and listen to instructor Dik Haneline speak about the pieces, the students and the process of his classes -- Drawing I and II, 2-D Design, Life Drawing, Intro to 3-D Design, and his painting students. This installation showcases a range of color, technique, mediums and artistic expression, representing multiple forms and styles.

The PAC Gallery works with the art program at Mid-Plains every year as a way to showcase their programs and the importance of art.

The installation allows students to experience all aspects of gallery work, from development, to the installation of exhibitions. Haneline's courses are designed to meet different experience levels, from beginner to advanced.

The Prairie Arts Center is open each week from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

There is no admission charge.
