NP Library (120 W. 4th St.) -150 NE Photo Exhibit -  photographs of homesteaders, town, prairiescapes & railroad. Artifacts of 1867 from the Lincoln County Historical Museum, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Mon-Sat, thru March.

Prairie Arts Center (416 S Jeffers St) - Selections from the permanent collection of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center in Nebraska City featuring works that demonstrate a change of location to Nebraska on the artistic process. High school art on display in April. Open Tuesday- Saturday. 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

NP Art & Gift Gallery (516 N. Dewey) - Spring Art Guild, Platter Painters Show. 11a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.-Sat.

Maranatha Bible Camp (16800 E. Maranatha Rd.) – Community Skating, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday nights.

• Sutherland Legion Community Center (130 S. Maple St) - Sutherland Fish Fry, $7. Adults; age 5 to 12 $5; under 5 free, 5–7 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, every Friday night. 9 p.m.-close.

Saturday, April 1

• Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park - Tank Race down the river to Cody Park, provided by Dusty Trails. Starts 2 p.m.  Post party at Wild Bill's.

• Cody Park Concessions and rides. (1601 N Jeffers St) - 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

• Valley Christian Church (2001 W. State Farm Rd) - Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction for Abbey Girard. Abbey,13, is fighting a cancerous brain tumor. Lunch 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. Also, benefit account is at Western Nebraska Bank.

Sunday, April 2

• Cody Park Concessions & Rides. (1601 N Jeffers St) - 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th St.) - Heartland Singers in concert: Celebrating 30 years. No charge, donations accepted. 3 p.m.

Tuesday, April 4

• Sculleys Shooters (2221 E. 4th St.) - Casey Donahew, by popular request &  for one night only, $20 at the door. 6 p.m.–12 a.m. Must be 21+ with valid ID to enter.

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey) – Wine & Women, Ladies-only networking event 6–8 p.m.

Wednesday, April 5

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Ray Mullen, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo. 6:45 p.m.

• N. P. Community College Theater (601 W. State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. Student play. $10 adults, $5 students & senior citizens, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 6

• Mid-Plains Community College (south campus) - Color North Platte Fun Run Eisenhower Elementary School PTO fundraiser. $20 per participant & $5 from each registration goes to the school. Packet pick-up 9 a.m. & the race at 10 a.m.

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. Student play.  $10 adults. $5 students & senior citizens, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, April 7

• St. Patrick's Parish Hall (4th & Chestnut) - Community Fish Dinner, Dinner $7, kid's menu $3. desserts provided by the Catholic Daughters. 5:30 – 7 p.m.

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why student play continues. 7:30 p.m.

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey) – Open Mic Nite. $2 donation suggested. Refreshments on sale. 7-9:30 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, every Friday night. 9 p.m.-close.

Saturday, April 8

• Cody Park concessions and rides (1601 N Jeffers St) - 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

• Iron Horse Park (2901 S. Jeffers St.) - CASA Super Hero 5K & Mile, a celebration of fitness, family & Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)! Featuring a hot dog feed & kids carnival after the race. 5–7pm.

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why final performance, 7:30 p.m.

• D&N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd) – 23rd annual model train show opens. 9-5 Saturday. $4 per adult, $1 for kids under 12 (under 5 free with paid adult).

• Sandhills Convention Center (2102 S. Jeffers St) - Patron Party, North Platte Ambassadors presenting. Champagne welcome 6 p.m., entertainment by The Innocence. $200 per couple. 6–7pm.

• Lincoln County Raceway (5105 West Highway 30) -- IMCA Modified Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Sport Compacts. Season opener. Gates open at 4 p.m. Hot Laps at 5:30 p.m. Green Flag drops at 6:30 p.m. Admission $10; Kids (6-12) $5; Kids (5 and under) free; Pit pass $25.

Sunday, April 9

• Sutherland Legion Hall (130 S. Maple St., Sutherland) - Breakfast at Sutherland Legion Hall, donation minimum $6 adults & kids 6 and above; kids 5 and under eat free. Everyone is invited. 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
