NP Library (120 W. 4th St.) - During March, photographs of homesteaders, the town, prairiescapes and railroad are on display, plus three-dimensional exhibits of artifacts of 1867.  9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Prairie Arts Center (416 S Jeffers St) - Gallery Exhibit - Passing Through the Plains, 11– 5 p.m. Selections from the permanent collection of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center in Nebraska City featuring works that demonstrate a change of location to Nebraska on the artistic process.

Maranatha Bible Camp (16800 E. Maranatha Rd.) – Community Skating, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday nights thru April.

• Espresso Shop (Fifth and Dewey downtown) – Open Mic Night. Freewill donation. Refreshments on sale. 7-9:30 p.m.

• Kelsey’s (219 Rodeo Rd.) – Karaoke night. Drink specials.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, every Friday night. 9 p.m.-close.

 

Saturday, March 11

• Downtown North Platte, (Dewey St.) - St. Patrick's Day Parade, 10am–noon. The Flatrock Irregulars Irish band plays afterwards at the Espresso Shop.

• Prairie Arts Center (416 S Jeffers St) - Gallery Talk by Ernie Weyeneth about Artist in Residency Program. 1-3 p.m. No charge.

• Quality Inn and Suites, (2102 S Jeffers St) – Mr. Habitat Pageant, fun and fund raising for Habitat for Humanity. 7–10 p.m.

• Platte River Mall, (1000 S. Dewey) - Bake sale for the North Platte Country Bluegrass Festival, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

• Eagles Club (620 N. Chestnut) - North Platte Bowling Hall of Fame banquet. Social 5-6 p.m. Dinner 6 p.m. Adults $20. Children 12 & under $10. Tickets Eloise Shuck (539-1040).

 

Sunday, March 12

• NPHS Performing Arts Center, (1220 W. 2nd St.) - Sandhills Symphony orchestra performs. No charge. 3–4 p.m. Donations accepted through Mid-NE Community Foundation.

• Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Bingo, Early Bird 6:30 p.m., Regular Bingo at 7 p.m.

 

Wednesday, March 15

• Godfather’s Pizza, (520 E. Philip Ave.) - Slice of sales fundraiser for 308 BMX. 5-10 p.m. Raffle tickets for prize.

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) - Dance to Lou Kraus, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo. 6:45 p.m.

 

Thursday, March 16

• Parkview Community Church (1802 N. Jeffers) – Good Ole Irish Supper & more, fundraiser, adults $10 & kids 10 & under $5. Call for reservations 308-534-2164

• Quality Inn & Suites, (2101 S. Jeffers) – Flatrock Flavor Cooking Show, Chef Shawn Engberg presents a live cooking show. 7-9 p.m.

 

Friday, March 17

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th) – Rhythm Future Quartet, top notch acoustic jazz ensemble, in concert. Admission $10 at door or reduced price of $40 for the season. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, 9 p.m.-close.

• Kelsey’s (219 Rodeo Rd.) – St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Corned beef & cabbage. $8 plate. 11 a.m. until it's gone. Green beer, drink specials.

• The Bar (Hershey) - St. Patrick’s Party, live music by Blue Collar. 9 p.m.-close.

 

Saturday, March 18

• Eagles Club, (620 N. Chestnut) – County music hall of fame entertainer Gary Phipps performs at 7 p.m. for a St. Patrick's dance/party. $5 cover. Public welcome. Bring finger food.

• D & N Event Center, (501 E. Walker Rd.) – Heartland Hellcats Roller Derby, $12 adults. $7 under 12, doors open 6:30, bout starts 7:30. Tickets Heartlandhellcats.com.

• Kelseys (219 Rodeo Rd.) – live music by Cypress Grove and Wondercult. 8 p.m.-close. No charge.
