A night of worship called “Come Fish With Me” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at the McGahan Activity Center at McDaid Elementary school in North Platte.

The free concert will feature singers Jesse Manibusan and ValLimar Jansen.

Adults, families, and young people of all faiths from the region are invited to attend and celebrate their faith. It will be hosted by the Going Bananas For Jesus committee of the Grand Island Diocese.

Jansen is a highly regarded singer, composer and recording artist, organizers say.

She tours as an inspirational speaker, storyteller, psalmist, song leader, principal vocalist, and/or an emcee. She and her husband Frank are winners of two 2008 Unity awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Song.

Jansen is educated and experienced as a university/college professor, a leader of worship and prayer, and she presents workshops at conferences across the United States and abroad. She has a long tradition of singing sacred music. She was trained in music and performance at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and holds degrees in the arts from California State University and the University of California.
