The sand and gravel pit would be established 7.5 miles west of U.S. Highway 83 on Walker Road and 2.5 miles north on Crane View Road.

The site is currently zoned for agricultural use.

Paulsen, Inc. and the Beer Creek Ranch are asking for a conditional use permit for the sand and gravel operation.

The planning commission meets at 5:30 p.m. in the county commissioners room at the east end of the Lincoln County Courthouse.

The commission could recommend or deny the permit at the end of the public hearing.

Wind energy regulations and a zoning expansion for the North Platte Regional Airport are also on the agenda, after the public hearing.
