The Central District Water Users will hold their annual meeting Feb. 15 at the Super 8 Motel in Holdrege. Nebraska Sen. Tom Carlson of Holdrege will be the keynote speaker, with an update on legislative issues. Don Kraus, general manager of The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District, will speck about District activities and civil engineer Cory Steinke will provide a water supply update for the 2010 irrigation season. The meeting will start with a steak dinner at noon, followed by remarks from the speakers and the CDWU's annual business meeting and election of directors. All Central irrigation customers are encouraged to attend. The Central District Water Users is an association of irrigation customers served by the Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District.
